Take a colorful trip from my garden outside San Diego to Santa Fe and back to the desert of California in Rancho Mirage!
The first two scenes below are in the garden I built on top of a hill in Escondido, CA.

Just past the Elfin Forest Hills, is the ocean. I used to live near this great surfer beach in Encinitas, Swami’s. It is still one of my favorite’s!

One of the places I like to travel to is Santa Fe in New Mexico. I am in a gallery in Taos, The Ranch at Taos Gallery. Every summer since 2000, I’ve gone to Santa Fe to teach workshops. I have developed a true love of the southwest, and part of my spirit will always soar over the enchanted land I know there.

Back in San Diego – heading west to the desert in Rancho Mirage, I have found some fantastic places to paint. A favorite is the Annenberg estate of Sunnylands. They have an amazing collection of agave, succulents and all desert plants.
