Saturday, May 8 from (8:45) 9am - 12pm Beautiful setting to paint in, overlooking Olivenhain dam and back country! In this three hour workshop we will learn how to create the 4 stages of depth with color using atmospheric perspective. We will also discuss how to use color for emotional content and mood. While doing an Expressive Impressionist style painting, we will do under-painting techniques, blocking in color and layering, as well as creating texture with brushstrokes. More advanced students can work with acrylic mediums for extra layering, textures and effects. Please be at the Elfin Forest parking lot off Harmony Grove road by 8:45. A park ranger will drive up the students and supplies to our painting location overlooking the Olivenhain dam. You won't be able to get to our location on foot so please be on time! Bring a hat, sunscreen and water.
