Class with Full French Country Lunch in a Garden Setting
Sorry, not offered at this time
This would make a nice "couples" Valentine gift of a shared activiy.
There is no right or wrong to this technique, just the joy of painting the outdoors in a loose style with beautiful color.
This is such a terrific class! Great for beginners and advanced. Based on a class I took in France, in Monet's gardens. You will learn Monet's painting techniques by using compositional and color techniques of the Impressionists.
This is a fun class for families, or friends who want to have a special day together. We meet at 9:00 for an introduction and coffee, and light refreshments.Next we have history of Monet and Impressionism and then instruction on color theory. Then I do a follow-along demo of a scene we can see outside the studio. Around noon we gather for a French country meal, based on recipes I learned in France. See sample
recipe. After lunch we finish the painting and have a critique. There is room for all levels, more advanced students can finish the demo painting early and work on their own using the techniques I demo. Beginner's will enjoy the instruction on all aspects of doing the painting.
We work will do the paintings in Acrylic to allow the paint to dry fast enough to put on many layers of paint. You will learn the technique Monet used to create his beautiful textured paintings and be able to apply it to oil, watercolor or pastel paintings on your own.
Cost: $100.00 * per session
*Includes all materials
and a full course Lunch
