I love Catalina! My favorite place in the world! Especially staying at the Zane Grey over looking the big blue Pacific. I have done so many pictures of Catalina in the years I have lived in California, and I still find something to inspire me each time I go. The color of the land against the bright blue sea, and the texture of the scrub brush on the hills, the century plants and aloe, the cactus shapes are all delightful to me. I love the little town and the houses with their roofs you can see whenever you start to hike into the back country. The way the fog rolls in and covers up the hills at times and infuses the scene with a transparent color is beautiful. This collection of pictures represent my love of the island, and the moods I get on Catalina. I hope to have that come out in these pictures. The shapes and textures of Catalina are endlessly fascinating to me.
